a will on 10 Jul 1826 in Kingsclear, York Co., NB.660,921 "In
the Name of God Amen I Jacob Russel of Kingsclear in the County of York and Province
of New Brunswick being of sound and disposing mind and memory but considering
the uncertainty of life do make publish and declare this my last will and Testament
in manner and form following that is to say I do give devise and bequeathe unto
my dear beloved wife Elizabeth the sum of three hundred and sixty five pounds
lauwful money of the Province aforsaid to be levied and paid by my executor out
of my Estate real and personal with the sole use and benefit of all my Estate
real and personal as aforsaid during her life. I do give and bequeath unto my
son John Russel the sum of ten pounds and his two children William and Sarah
five pounds each. I do further give and bequeath unto my dutiful son William
Russel two hundred pound to his son Jacob William lid(?) ten pounds: and his
two daughters five pounds each. To Jacob Russel one hundred pounds. Mary Russel
twenty pounds. Phebe widow of the late Robert Turner one hundred pounds. Betsey
Russel one hundred pounds. Hannah Beals four children five pounds a piece. George
Turners three children five pounds a piece. Charlotte Turner ten pounds. Solomon
Vail thirty pounds. Mary Russel Samuel's daughter twenty pounds. Daniel and
George Russel ten pounds each, lawful money as aforesaid to be paid by my Executors
within a reasonable time after the decease of my said wife Elizabeth. And I
do give devise and bequeath the all the remainder of my Estate both real and
pursonal, (sic) after the aforesaid bequests are paid with my just debts unto
my dutiful son William Russel. And I do hereby nomninate constitute and appoint
my wife Elizabeth, Executor and my won William Russel and my worthy Friend John
Allen Esquire Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revolking all
former and other Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and I
do declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof to this
my said last Will I have set my hand and affixed my seal the tenth day of July
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.

He died on 27 Jun 1827 in Kingsclear, York Co., NB. He had his
estate probated on 15 Oct 1827 in Kingsclear, York Co., NB.922 Administrator: William Russell He was born.923,924
Waters gives his birth in Windsor, Ct in 1746, but this is a different Jacob
Russell or Rossel, who was born in Kingston, CT, married Esther Dunham 28 May
1772 and died in Ohio! This other Jacob Russell's siblings were born in Windsor.
He was Anglican. Freeholder, New Marlborough, Ulster Co., NY, 1767
assessed 15 shillings. A Jacobus Russell living near the Pawls, Ulster Co., NY
2 Jun 1777 gave 600-800 sterling counterfeit money to Jonathan Wood to buy a
farm for him. A loyalist. Lieutenant in the New Jersey Volunteers. Land confiscated
in New Marlborough, Ulster Co., NY. Settled first Sheffield, Sunbury Co., NB,
then Kingsclear, York Co. Petitioned for a lot in Bilisle Bay, NB on 7 Nov 1785,
abandoned by Benjamin Walker. On the 19th of Nov, this was granted on the condition
that Walker had actually left.. Bought a lot in Kingsclear west of Col. Isaac
Allen. Received lot 20 as a grant. Granted lot 17 (180 acres) next to his son
Jacob ,Jr. who had Lot #18 (also 180 acres) on 13 Jan 1787 from King George III.
On 10 Jan 1789 he, with Israel Perley, Jabez Newers, Samuel Newes and Samual
Peabody petitioned the governor to not grant the land on which their sawmill
and grist mill lay, in Maugerville and Sheffield, Sunbury Co. NB, to any new
people as it would jepardize their mills and livelihood there. And this was agreed
to by the government.
He administered along with William Russell, the estate of one Samuel Russell,
of Kingsclear in, 1817, probably his son, who died at age 35 in 1816.. Jacob*

She signed a will on 7 Jul 1827 in Kingsclear, York Co., NB.925 " In the name of God, Amen. I Elizabeth Russell,
of Kingsclear, in the County of York, and Privince of New Brunswick, widow, being
of sound and disposing mind and memory, but weak and feeble of body, and considering
the uncertainty of life, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form following. That is to say I do give and bequeath unto my
dutiful and affectionate daughter Hannah Veal, the sum of Fifty pounds lawful
money, and to my affectionate grand daughter Catherine Turner the sum of Ten
pounds lawful money as aforesaid to be paid by my executor within a reasonable
time after my deceasek and all the remainder of my estate, both real and personal,
I give and bequeath fto my dutiful son William Russell aforesaid, sole executor
of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof to this my last Will,
I set my hand and affixed my seal the seventh day of July in the year of our
Lord one Thousand eight hundred and twenty seven (7 July 1827) Elizabeth Russell

Executed on 4 Feb 1832 by her son William. She died on 20 Aug 1827 in Kingsclear,
York Co., NB. She had her estate probated in 1832 in , York Co.,
NB. Bequeathed 365 pounds by her husband Jacob in his will of 10
July 1826. He died only a few months before she did. Evidently she was Illiterate
as she had her will read over to her and this was recalled by John Dow at the
time that it was executed pm 4 Feb 1832. Children were:

1875 in Kingsclear, York Co., NB. Possibly the John Russell who was
granted 198 acres (Lot 8) in Waterborough Parish on 30 Jan 1787 by George III,
along with three Esterbrooks and his father Jacob and brother Jacob. Bequeathed
10 pounds by his father Jacob in his will of 10 July 1826. | | ii. | William RUSSELL660,927 was born
in 1769 in , , CT.928 He
was baptized on 13 Mar 1792 in Maugerville, Sunbury Co., NB.661 As an adult with several others. He died on 13 Jan
1849 in Grand Manan Is. , NB. He was buried in 1849 in Grand Manan
Is., Charlotte Co., NB.928
St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery He was a Surveyor. He was Anglican.
Loyalist. Bequeated the remainder of her estate by his mother after 60 pounds
to Hannah Veal and Catherine Turner. Also appointed executor of her mother's
estate. Bequeathed 200 pounds and the 'remainder of the estate' after the other
bequests as well as 10 pounds to grandson Jacob and 5 pounds apiece for the two
granddaughters in his will of 10 July 1826. William Moved to Grand Manan abt

husband and eight children to lament the loss of an amiable companion, and a

York Co., NB.932 Upright
marble slab darkened by lichen, in the Old Burying Ground: "ERECTED/IN/affectionate
remembrance/ of/ CATHERINE/wife of / GEORGE TURNER/ who departed this life/March
14th 1841/ in the 42nd year/of her age." She was Methodist until 1839 in
Fredericton, York Co., NB.933
