48. William* DELAP774,775,776,777 was born after 1770 in Weston, Oneida Co., NY. He appeared in the census in 1800 in Rome, Oneida Co., NY.778 1 male 26-45 ( William himself), 2 boys under 10 (Robert and William J. the twins age 3), 1 woman over 45 (? Jerusha is age 24), 2 female under 10 (who?). In the same township as his brother Robert? He died after 1820. One note indicated that he may have died in the War of 1812 but the birth of Elijah in 1820 doesn't jibe with this theory. In Rome, Oneida Co., NY, 1800 with 2 males under age 10. In Pulteney, Steuben Co., NY in 1810. It appears that his land in Steuben Co., was seized by the sheriff and recorded on 24 Apr 1815.

William and Jerusha sold for $382 a parcel of land in Pultney, part of lot 35 in township 6 range 2 in Steuben Co., NY, beginning at the SE corner of the lot running north 2 degrees east along the east line 34 chains and 21 links, thence N 48 degrees W 14 chains and 20 links thence south 2 degrees W 35 chains and 21 links to the S line of the lot thence S 88 degrees E along the line 14 chains and 20 links to the place of beginning containing 50 acres of land surveyed in 1812. Signed by William, Jerusha, and Josiah De Lap and John Juliet. Appears to have been sold to William Jevus (last name unclear)

49. Jerusha*774 was born in 1776 in Weston, Oneida Co., NY. She appeared in the census in 1850 in Howard Twp, Steuben Co., NY. Living with son Dr. Elijah at this time, who was born in 1820. She died before 1860. She was buried in Avoca, Steuben Co., NY.779 Highland Cemetery Living in Pultney, Steuben Co., NY at the time of the 1830 and 1835 census. Living with son Dr. Elijah De Lap in 1850 Census in Howard twp, Steuben Co., NY. Children were:

Rev. Robert DELAPP280,780,781,782 was born on 15 Apr 1795 in Weston, Oneida Co., NY.783 He was buried on 2 Feb 1884 in Bascobel, Grant Co., WI.783 He died on 30 Jan 1885 in Orion, Richland Co., WI. Living in Cayuga Co., NY 1810. A Robert De Lap received patent 19490 for 160 acres at Indianapolis on for the NE 1/4 of Section 29 in T20N R7E on 12 May 1835, in Madison Co. IN. Also a Robert De Lap received patent 6803 on 1 Oct 1835 for 40.6 acres at Vincennes for the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 1 T9N R2W in Monroe Co., IN. A Robert De Lap received patent 12476 on 7 Nov 1837 at Vincennes IN for 40.6 acres : the NE 1/4 of the NE 14 of Section 1, T9N R2E in Monroe Co., IN.

He Came with his brother Hiram DeLapp from IL in 1836 to Monroe, Green Co., WI from IL Purchased for $200 40 acres in NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 34 from Hiram and Catherine De Lap 'of the County of Stephenson and State of Illinois' He received a patent on another 40 acres in NW 1/4 of SE 12/4 of Section 33, T2N R7E, Green Co., WI on 8 Jul 1839. Active in petition for statehood for WI. Lived near his brother Ambrose De Lap in 1850 Census. Moved to Milville, Sauk Co., WI, 1851.

On 19 Apr 1854 Robert and 'Betsy' sold to his brother A. C. De Lap, 11 rods of the W side of the SW quarter of the NW 1/4 of Sect 33 T2N R7E containing 5 1/2 acres in Green Co., W for $55. Witnessed by Noah Phelps and C. Morse.

DELAP784,785 was born in 1797 in Weston, Oneida Co., NY.786 He appeared in the census in 1840 in Prattsburg, Steuben Co., NY.787 A William De Lap is in Indiana as early as 10 Dec 1821 when patent #216 was awarded for 80 acres at Jeffersonville for the E 1/2 of the SE 1/4 in Sec 1, T9N R5E in Bartholemew Co..

Hiram DELAP780,788,789,790 was born about 1802 in Weston, Oneida Co., NY.791 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Franklin Town, Vernon Co., WI.792 Hiram 58, farmer worth $200 born NY, Cathrine 51, born VA, William 34 born IL, Eliz. 28 born Il, Lucy 4, born WI, and Hannah 1 born WI. He died in 1875 in Des Moines, IA?. Came with his brother Robert DeLapp from IL in 1836 to Monroe, Green Co., WI from IL. Obtained a patent on 80 acres in Crawford Co., WI on 1 May 1845: W 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Sect 1 T6, R6W, at the land office in Muskoday. Obtained a US patent on 40 acres in Grant Co., WI on 1 Apr 1852: NE 1/4 of SW 1/4, section 1 T6N, R5W.

On 27 Sep 1837 He and wife Catherine 'of the County of Stephenson and State of Illinois' deeded to Robert De Lap for $200. the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sect 34 in T2N R7W containing 40 acres in Green Co., WI Terr. Later he was issued the US patent for this land 10 Jul 1839.

He appeared in the census in 1840 in Cohocton, Steuben Co., NY.534 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Howard Twp, Steuben Co., NY. Had his mother Jerusha with him at this time. He died on 12 Jan 1892 in Baraboo, Sauk Co., WI.783 Living in Cohocton, Steuben Co., NY in 1840. Living in Howard Twp, Steuben Co., NY in 1850 Census. His mother: Jerusha, age 74 living with him then. On 10 Nov 1855 he obtained a US patent on 80 acres in Grant Co., WI: W 1/2 SE 1/4, Section 1 T6N R5W. On 1 Jun 1858 he obtained a US patent on 80 acres in Grant Co., WI: S 1/2 of NE 1/4 of Section 1 T6N, R5W. In Boscobel Twp, Grant Co., WI in 1860 census. A physician, came to Buffalo, NY in 1870. He later moved to IA.
