ROYALL27,1792,2727,2728,2729,2730,2731 was
born in 1600 in Puddletown, Dorsetshire, England. He died before
10 Mar 1655 in Henrico Co., VA.2732
Luke Boyse and family and the servant Joseph Royall, aged 22 who came in the
'Charitie' in Jul 1622. Hannah Boyse, daughter and heir of Luke Boyse patented
in Nov 1635, 200 acres in Henrico. She was due 50 acres for herself and another
for her father and 200 acres for transportation of servants: Thomas Lewis, Robert
Hollum, Joseph Royall, Edward Holland and Oliver Allen. (VA Mag V p 97.) The
muster of inhabitants of 24 Jan 1624 at Necke of Land, Charles City: Patent granted
to him 26 Aug 1635 of 50 acrees for his immigration (and completion of his sevitude)
and 50 acres each for his first wife Thomasin and his 'now' wife Ann and his
brother Henry Royall.
Granted 300 acres in Henrico Co. on 15 Aug 1637 at the SE side of Turnkey Island
Cr. running into the woods NE and tot e the mouth of the cr.SW. 50 acres for
his own person, and 50 acres of his first wife Thomasin, 50 acres for his 'now
wife' Ann and 50 acres for his brother Henry and 100 acres for transpoting 2
others: Robert Warwell and Jonathan Wells. (VA patents Book 1 p 452.)
On 4 May 1638 he was awarded 200 acres in Charles City Co., in Diggs hundred
and south upon land of Thomos Oggs.l For transporting 4 men : Robert Wornall,
John Wells, Thomas Swift and Ralph Higson. (VA Patents Bk 1, p 631)
Granted another 600 acres on 20 Aug 1642 bounding on the land of Edward Madden
above Sherley hundred N and by E on the river to Dockmans cr. adjacent to Daniell
Lewellin, W and by N. For transporting of 12 people: Ralph Hexon Thomas Sweft,
Henry Smith, Katherine his wife, John Guilham, Martha Jacob, Nowell Hurim, Ann
Cole, Stafford Barlow and Thomas Guilham. (only 10 on list).
In 1646 he seems to have had land in a swampy area of Bermuda Hundred near John
Baugh. Awarded 1100 acres from the king for transportation of 20 people into
the colony. Located on Turkey Is. Cr., Diggs Hundred, and above Shirley Hundred.
Home known as Doghams named after the French River D' Augham.

Katherine* BANKS1792 was born in 1627 in Puddletown, Dorsetshire, England.
She died on 10 Oct 1686 in Henrico Co., VA. She signed a will on

Probated December 1, 1686 She was buried before 1 Dec 1686 in Presque Isle,
Henrico Co., VA. Some records show Katherine as being from NorthHamptonshire,
England; also said to be of Canterbury, England. Children were:

men in Henrico Co., VA 1698. He died in 1732 in , Henrico Co., VA.
Received all of Katherine (Banks) Isham's land. In 1680 was a joint patentee
with Capt. Wm Randolph and Francis Epes of 580 acres: 'Martin's Swamp' in Bermuda
Hundred Neck on the s side of the James River and adjoing lands of all three.
Appears to be holding 783 acres in April 1705 in Henrico Co. Held 4542 acres
with Col. Wm Randolph, Col. Fancis Eppes and Geo. Archer, including Martin's
Swamp on s side of the james River and tracts on n side of the Appomattox River
and on Proctor's Cr. Sheriff of Henroco Co. Vestryman of Curle's Episcopal
Church, Bristol Parish.. Made a disputation on 20 Feb 1681/2 where he stated
