in 1653, by Joseph Croshaw, York Co. to enter VA. Nov. 8, 1653. It seems unlikely
that this was a son of Alexander Fleming, however, who had the means to bring
his own son to VA.

Held 493 acres in New Kent Co. 20 March 1661. This was on the S side of the
York River lying between lands of Lt. Co. Gooch, Rice Hughes and Edmond Price.,
for transporting 10 people: Jonathan Jones, William Jacobs, Henr Linny, Denis
Corbell, Dorothy Farmer, William Farmer, Jonathan Shaw, Mary Spratt, William
Ward, and Thomas Claughton.

In 1727/28 he was a Sheriff in , Hanover Co., VA. He signed a will
on 13 Sep 1742.2276 Of
the Parish of St. Paul, Hanover Co., VA. He bequeathed to his son in law Henry
Bibb and wife Eleanor the use of 250 acres on the N side of Sedgy Cr.. And gave
his grandson Benj. Bibb the land. He also gave Henry, son of Henry and Eleanor
Bib 350 acres including the old plantation part of the 1000 acres. Gave his
grandson Robert Flemming Bibb a new quarter of 200 acres. He left his wife Elizabeth
6 negro slaves of her choice. Gave his wife the use of his plantation in King
William Co. on college land. Gave his wife her choice of his young negroes until
12 years old and then to be replaced by another. He clearly mentions all of his
offspring and leaves them all a equal share of the remainder. He died before
4 Oct 1744. He died on 4 Oct 1744. Of York Co., VA.
