He also had 32 acres at Cotuit, meadows in the mill pond and at Sandy Neck and elsewhere. Tanner and Currier. Built his house in 1642. using oak, 2 stories high, 22' wide and 26' deep. 3 rooms in the lower part. Front room was 16'square, with a large beam acrosss the center of it.. There was a cellar which raised the befroom 2 feet. Very small kitchen. 3 rooms upastairs. stone chimney. The fire place was 8' wide 4' deep with a tall mantle as high as a person. An oven on the outside had an opening in the fireplace. There was a smaller fire place in the kitchen. Inventory of his estate valued at 632 pounds 10s 2p on 29 Oct 1673. Nathaniel* BACON and Rev.
