1818. William* WOODWARD¹⁴⁸⁵ was born about 1620 in , , England. He signed a will. Immigrated to VA abt 1642. Brought by Justinian Cooper to Isle of Wight Co. By 23 Feb 1664 he had purchased 2100 acres in New Kent Co.on the N. side of the York river beginning at the mouth of Mr. John's Cr.. up the river to a point against Capt. Bassets house which is the lower bounds of property of Samuel Snead. This was purchased from Cocka Coeske, Queen of Potnunke on 27 Sep 1664 and was granted (patenened) in Nov 1664 by the Government and Council..
