1604. Rev. Nathan* GILLETT^2139,2140 was born before 4 Feb 1609 in Chaffcombe, Somersetshire, England.⁸⁰⁰ He died on 15 Sep 1689 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Sailed with 140 puritans on 20 Mar 1630 with Rev. John Warham and Rev. John Maverick on the ship Mary and John from Devonshire, Dorsetshire and Somersetshire, England. Arrived on 30 May 1630 off Nantasket, MA. First settled at Dorchester, MA. . Made freeman in Dorchester, MA, 1634. Moved to Windsor, CT in 1635. Served in the Pequot War in 1637. Conveyed something to his father William Gyllett before 1641. Joined church at Windsor, CT on 29 Aug 1641. Received grant of 50 acres for service in War on 12 Oct 1671. Moved to Simsbury, CT after 1670, but death recorded in Windsor. March 1687/1688 he conveyed lands to his eldest son Elias, and son Nathan Jr., and son in law Thomas Wapples and gave deeds to three daughters. Some sources claim French Huguenot derivation of this family but this is contested.

Living in Simsbury, CT, on 10 Nov 1697 when she signed as Elizabeth Gozzard, Sr., a covenant on the occasion of the ordination of Rev. Dudley Woodbridge as pastor there.
	ii.	Abiah GILLETT2141 was born on 22 Aug 1641 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She died on 21 Nov 1716 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Named for her aunt Habiah, who never came to America.
	iii.	Rebecca GILLETT was born in 1646.2142 She died on 13 Jul 1655 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

	v.	Sarah GILLETT2141 was born about 14 Jul 1651 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.2143 Still living on 5 apr 1725 when her husband's will was dated. She was christened on 29 Aug 1653 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She died on 13 Jul 1655 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.
	vi.	Benjamin GILLETT2141 was born on 29 Aug 1653 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He died on 13 Jul 1655 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.
	vii.	Nathan GILLETT2144 was born on 17 Apr 1655 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He died on 30 Jan 1757 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. At age 102. He was a tailor. "Honored father Nathan Gillett of Winsor" mentioned in the will of his son Nathan.
	viii.	Rebecca GILLETT2145 was born on 8 Dec 1657 in Windsor. She died before 28 Aug 1698.
